Cave Markings The Rules Of “Night Of The Eclipse”
These are the rules and regulations of “Night Of The Eclipse”, most of which are plain common sense. In joining “Night Of The Eclipse” or “NoTE” for short, you have agreed to follow all of our the Rules at all times, even if they seem really bitchy. Before you post your application and start role playing here, you should know that it is vital that you follow these rules, for if you do not, the administrators will be on your case, and we do not like to punish.
Alas, the rules: [Yesh, long…]
OOC Rules;;
1.) Firstly, please do NOT make an account here unless you plan to be role playing long-term, which is common sense. You just do not join, RP for a few days or not even that and just leave. How mean. We will understand if you leave for a long period of time, just notify everyone that you will be leaving, or just simply post your schedule or online time. For your information, URL’s of sites are easily forgotten and or lost and so, please favorite this site.
2.) When you join do not have underscores for it does not work in the first place and don’t have usernames like (I will use mine on another site) _killerz_spree_. You can just be called Killerz it is simple as that. Or dogpuppy15373, don't do that, for there is not even a dogpuppy1... Okie, sorry for being a bitch about that. xD
3.) Users may have only ONE account. Not that hard, and multiple accounts seems illogical as you have absolutely NO character limits what-so-ever.
4.) Application wise, please try to be creative with names, we don't want a whole load of Shadows' or Brunos' running about; originality is essential and most desired. It is very easy to be original, for an example, what I do is use Japanese, like my wolf is not named Wind, but Kaze. You may not join as a wolf less than a year old, or over ten years of age UNLESS you have permission. Being me, I will most likely say yes, same with Fire; your main admin and supreme ruler. You must have a picture of your wolf in your application somewhere, or it might not be accepted. You don’t have to do anything fancy with that as it is simple as going to Google and typing in “Wolf”. A plain picture will do just fine. :3
5.) Cursing, bad language, insults, can be used on role playing characters, not the person or people playing them. They are allowed in “NoTE” but just keep them down. Not in every post or what-not, keep it down to a minimum. It is allowed to swear as it can show more of you wolf's personality.
6.) Thievery, stealing, and plagiarism, NO-NO! If anyone catches or spots these ideas, histories, characters, etc., being used without permission, they will be banned until the problem is somehow resolved by whatever means. >:K You have been warned, gerrr.
7.) In the CBox, is for fun quick chats. (We don't bite, much.) But, if you advertise another site or bother our members you will be flagged for suspension or deletion, unless you have been asked and the staff member gives you the OK. However, in the CBox if you cuss, don't cuss at fellow members/administrators, only if it is a joke and they know. If you continuously cuss for no reason you'll be flagged. Simple? Please, don't complain about your life in the CBox. We can't do anything about it. That’s too bad, go talk to a family member not us. If suicidal you need a doctor. KTHX -.-;;
8.) Do. Not. Spam (Short, Pointless, Annoying Messages). Anyone’s. PM’s. This will result in members leaving and reps fallen. Please don't constantly remind your contact to answer or look at his/hers PM’s. It's annoying and don't tell them what to do. This also means no Spamming the CBox; it is a CHAT BOX, so alas, common sense applied, no spammeh.
9.) For staff: If you're and admin, co-admin, or mod, do not abuse your powers to tear up the site, harass other members, or boast about your powers. It is annoying and even I am one with power and it...bothers me. Use your powers to help the site not rend it up; RAWR!
IC Rules;;
1.) We will try to not be pushy so at least five sentences MINIMUM. I mean, there is a lot more to type but that is the minimum per paragraph; feel free to go over that! =D If someone posts bigger than you, try to match up to them, but it is alright if you can not 'cause we all understand Writer's Block.
2.) No GM; God-Molding- being powerful, as if acting indestructible or almost acting like a god, demigod, etc. This will not be tolerated and will not be accepted on “NoTE”. Alphas and wolves with power may GM occasionally, but please, no going overboard and give others a chance as well.
3.) No PP; Power-Playing- taking control of another's character or auto-hitting. This will not betollerated unless both role players have come to a reason that it is needed or they have given permission. Do not do it on your own free will. For a first offense, we will let it slide. Your character can not be perfect in anyway, shape, or form; not even alphas.
4.) Please use common English, not wolf speak. Orbs? You mean balls right? Nope? Then use the common word, “eyes” for them, for wolf speak is really not the correct words and can lead up to confusion with other members. Auds, nars, are not correct words either, so please refrain from wolf speak, but if you are accustomed to this, and do this occasionally by mistake, then we understand.
5.) Any color is acceptable when you post, as long as it is easy to see. Thoughts should be in italic and some sort of notification such as ~~ or //, and their speech should be in bold and with quotations such as this, “” . This makes the posts easier to read, and it looks nicer and more organized.
6.) Please, we cannot stress this enough, spell check your posts before you post them. Nobody wants to role play with somebody whose posts are almost unreadable with spelling and grammar errors. Although a spell check will pick up most errors, some errors can only be picked up by you. We highly recommend that you read over you posts and fix any errors before you post it. I mean, typos are fine for no one is perfect and we all make mistakes, but it does get annoying. ^^
7.) In “NoTE” there is no particular posting order what-so-ever, and you may choose to post any time you wish though once everyone else in the role play has posted at least once since you last did, it is time for you to post! Otherwise, you will be holding everyone else up, and that isn’t good. You may put in OOC under your last post something along the lines of “Go on without me.” or the sort, just to let us know.
8.) Before you begin role playing your character must be accepted by any of the Administrators or Co-Administrators. If they give you an okay, you may Role Play. How will you know your character has been accepted? First off the topic will be moved from the New Characters board to your sub-board. Second a staff member will post in your thread telling you officially that your character has been accepted. If your character profile has not been accepted after 24 hours (1 whole day), you may begin to role play, but once a staff member tells you it needs to be improve, please improve it, but if its accepted, carry on. ^^
9.) To make things more on the organized side, we suggest that if your character made enemies or friend in this role play that you simply add them in their profile alright? You do not have to do this, but it will make things easier.
10.) This is a realistic wolf role playing site meaning that your character may NOT have any special powers or abilities; such as the ability to fly, read other wolves feelings and/or minds or break trees with one paw. Come on people.... This rule also applies to your wolf’s appearance meaning those wings; fluffy or non, unusual colors such as neon green and hot pink (though light orange and silver are allowed) and accessories such as a blue do-rag are not allowed in “NoTE”. Also, wolves may have bizarre eye color, but please not pink or something odd. A green purple hue is fine, seems a little on the natural side if you catch my drift.
11.) Mating. It is allowed on “NoTE”, in the spring and summer; pups may be born roughly thirty days later. Mating is only allowed if both the female and male wolf's users agree to, unless it is Force Breeding, which is also allowed, but discouraged. Users must bred with a male x female combo, none of this male x male crap, for that’s sick, wrong, and wolves do not do that so tuff luff. Also, we would prefer that you ask permission of the female’s role player before you force-breed their character even though it IS force-bred, some people would like a warning (Do the warning in either PM and or OOC). However, we don’t want any, “Some Name force-bred my character without my permission! Wahhh! Boo-hoo! Meanie!!” complaints of any sort, and it is not that big of a deal for the female may decide if she has pups or not. The pups for regular breeding range form 4-6 as when force-bred form 1-3 and it is force-breeding, after all so no complaints. Also, graphic breeding is prohibited. Just simply state that the male mounted and dismounted or just state that they simply, “Mated.” When your characters do breed, post in the Puppy Center to have a staff member give you the stats on your puppies.
12.) Fights may be as graphic as you like. Be creative and have fun, but if one asks for you to dim down, please listen and comply with their request. If you want a character to die post that they can die. Ask if you may critically injure another RP character to the point of death, or kill. Alphas have the power to break up the fight if they so desire, but if there is a fight with the alpha for the position of the alpha, you may intervene at a cost. You will never know what might be buzzing around in another’s mind. Senseless violence and/or fighting is not allowed, meaning a wolf randomly attacking everything in sight for no apparent reason what-so-ever; you have to have a reason as if fighting for a mate, food, or rank in the pack.
13.) No god-molding or power-playing may be employed while role-playing a hunt, such as “Thunder's powerful bite brought the prey down all by himself.” Umm, no, or for another example, your prey animal must die at some point and may occasionally lash out at or wound a wolf, which is what they really do out in the wild terrain. There must be at least two or three wolves to bring down a large prey animal. No single wolf, regardless of how strong or talented they are, can bring down large quarry by themselves, even if it is wounded and or a runt. Even with two or three wolves, it is not a sure thing. The more wolves that participate in the hunt, their hunting power, the condition of the prey animal, and weather all contribute to how well the hunt goes. There is no way three inexperienced wolves can bring down a large, healthy prey animal. Four experienced hunters and a sickly animal have a much higher success-rate. You get it? Good.
14.) If a packland has not been claimed then feel free to try to claim it as your own. Your wolf can not walk onto the land and automatically be alpha. You must roleplay your wolf marking the territory, etc. for two weeks without any opposition before your wolf becomes alpha of that land. Once your wolf is alpha you may PM an admin to ask them to change the name of your pack from "Northern Pack" to something a bit more personal to your wolf. (= You may also request the names of the lands like "Norther Forest" to be changed.
15.) The Central lands are for all of y’all lone wolves still searching for a pack. If the wolf enters the pack lands, any of the forums under North, East, South, or West, they can be attacked or chased out. If the wolf wants to join the pack they go to the boarders and ask for permission. They may be granted permission by any high ranking pack member, an alpha or beta most likely.
16.) This is a liquid time roleplay, meaning that your character can be in more than one thread at a time, so long as you can keep up with all the threads.
Table Rules;;
1.) Please only use the tables while in character. If there are too many images flying around on the site it will sevearly slow it down. (=
2.) The width limit for tables is 500px. The site is only 700px wide and you have to take into consideration the left collum with all the member information. Page stretching isn't fun.
3.) Please note that the tables are optional; you don't have to use them if you don't want to. ^^
Finally! You read it all? Good boy/girl. Now since you read all this load of rules, you now know the do's and don't's of “NoTE”. You may now click the Application Thread here and you may start.
